Vishwadeep Sadan, Durg

Vishwadeep Sadan Durg, one of the first convents of Nirmala Province was established in the year 1969 at Durg, Raipur Diocese, Chhattisgarh.  For three years sisters stayed in the old presbytery of the parish. In the year 1972 an old building was purchased and blessed it as a convent and sisters started to reside in this building. The pioneers of this community were Sr. Lourdh Mary, Sr. Mary Francis, Sr. Juliet, and Sr. Alphonsa. Our missionary endeavors started with the apostolate of education and we have a Senior Sec. School at Durg of CBSE Syllabus. Later we also started a Hindi Medium primary school for the poor children of the locality. We also do service in the printing press run by the V.C fathers. Sisters are also engaged in Family Apostolate and Evangelization and pastoral work.
